“The 6th Love for all nations & Sharing of peace” where 500 residents of Cheongju participated
The Cheongju branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group (branch leader Jae-joon Byun) announced on 23rd of June that it held "the 6th Love for all nations & Sharing of peace" event at the Youth Plaza in Jungang-dong, Cheongju on 21st of June.
In the midst of 500 Cheongju residents wishing for peace, the event began with a peace concert (Fusion Korean Traditional Music) followed by the pledge of allegiance, a silent prayer for patriotic martyrs for the country, a ceremony to sign a peace agreement (MOU), and an award ceremony.
This day, 10 local community organizations including the Cheongju branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group, the Cheongju branch of the Korean War Veterans Association and the Chungcheongbuk-do branch of the Korean Vietnam War Veterans Association held an agreement to exchange and cooperate for peace and reunification.
Then, they gave appreciation plaques and peace promotion, love for all nations and sharing of peace awards to those who worked for the peaceful reunification of Korea in memory of the patriotic martyrs for the country and the souls of all the fallen heroes who died protecting their homeland.
One figure from the city of Cheongju, who was invited to the event, expressed his gratitude to the group, saying, "We are so happy that the Shincheonji Volunteer Group held an annual "Love for all nations & Sharing of peace" event to console the pain of the division."
In addition to main event, they also operated an experience booth, including a photo exhibition where visitors can take a quick look at the history of the war, planting the seedlings of the Rose of Sharon, flower arrangement with the Rose of Sharon on the Korean Peninsula, a handwritten letter of peace, making a dove of peace, an inter-Korean exploration life, creating a fan of peace and introducing figures of peace with Shincheonji Volunteer Group.
"Thanks to the men of national merit and citizens for enjoying the event despite the hot weather," said Jae-joon Byun, branch leader of the Cheongju branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group. "We will work hard to create a world of peace by delivering unconditional and fair love like the light of heaven, rain and air."
Meanwhile, the Love for all nations & Sharing of peace event is held nationwide from June to July every year to honor the exploits of men of national merit, ruminate the history of division and recognize the importance of peace and reunification by the Shincheonji Volunteer Group.
